Quake Rocks Seattle,Wa.

The quake that rocked Seattle, Wa. on 2/28/01 was recorded here at Delta College in Bay City Michigan, over 2000+ miles away. Read and see our recording of the quake, or visit Delta and see our seismograph, located in C-Wing Geo-center. Doctor Slime Traveled to the earthquaked area several weeks later to observe the results first hand WHile there, he put on 10 Shows for the Pacific Science Center located in downtown Seattle, Wa. Fast & Fizzy Reactions is a 3 page experiment dealing with reaction kinetics, or the impact of temperature on a simple chemical reaction. This is appropiate for 3rd - 10th graders dependent on the level of detail you wish to introduce. Great For in home use, Home schoolers, or student activities! Most Recently this activity was performed hands-on for the Girls in Science Program at Longway Planetarium, Flint Mi. Winter 2006 Incidently Longway Planetarium has a very nice science program, so if you're from Flint, Michigan or parts south be sure to Check it out!
