Your writing assignment is to produce three visual aids that
are part of your proposal paper. These can be
composed of pie charts, graphs, photographs, etc. but they should reflect
the topic of your proposal and serve
to enhance your final paper. Mail them to me as attachments.
You may not have worked previously with
graphics and visuals via the computer. If you cannot successfully
do this via the computer, you may drop them
off to the English office in S-6, or fax them (make sure you have a cover
sheet describing who they are
from, that they go to me, and how many pages) to 989-686-0485,
but be sure to allow enough time so that
they reach me by the deadline. Be sure that each visual has
a label above, a caption below, and that if
credit should be due someone else, you insert the credit in parenthesis
after the caption. Put each visual on a
separate piece of paper or is a separate attachment. Do not
put all three on one page.
5.
In the Discussion Board section, under the appropriate thread
(posted question with a linked list of
responses), post your answer to the question below and
also, be sure to respond twice to other classmates'
posts.
QUESTION: Take a look around you at work, in school, or around
town. To what extent do you take for
granted the visual cues that provide you with direction in life?
How many signs do you "not notice"? How
much reading (non- book) do you do to get around? Perform your job?
Interact with family and friends?
Post your individual response to the above; classmates should comment and
be specific about what they agree
or disagree with. Your responses as a class should give us
an idea of how we collectively function as
social and work groups,
