A Michigan Prison
CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTIONS & FACILITIES
CJ 135
This class is usually known as "the prison tour class" because we do,
in fact, tour several Michigan correctional institutions and facilities.
I prefer to think of this class as the "corrections operations class" because
the content of the class is a substantive, "meat and potatos" view of what
goes on in a prison and what a correctional officer does. Please
view the requirements for institutional
tours, to ensure you meet the criteria and will not be refused admission
to the correctional facilities we tour. Photos
from previous tours are linked here.
Instructed by Michele
Whitaker in the Fall and Winter semesters.
