Computers can process masses of information rapidly and accurately.  Computer Science and Information Technology is a dynamic field of study that is in a constant state of change as technology advances.  Some educational institutions refer to this field as Computer Science (CS); others refer to it as Computer Information Systems (CIS); and yet others may classify it as Information Technology (IT).  Delta College offers six Computer Science and Information Technology degree options;  two are Associate of Business Studies Degrees (ABS) and four are Associate of Applied Science Degrees (AAS).  Four of these degrees have Advnanced Academic Certificates available;  these academic certificates are laddered (sequenced) to lead to the completion of the corresponding associate degree.  Thus, each certificate and/or degree option offers a concentration in one area of information technology.

The Career Pathway for CST is Business, Management, Marketing and Technology.
