Mission Statement


To facilitate a seamless transition for students and course credits toward degree completion, Delta College is committed to providing academic programs, support services and formal articulation processes for students transferring to or from other accredited institutions.

Transfer and Articulation Advisory Board Charge & Goals
(Revised and approved February 2003)

The Transfer and Articulation Advisory Board's charge is to facilitate a seamless transition of students from K-12 to Delta College and from Delta College to other accredited higher education institutions. Delta College is committed to providing academic programs, support services, and formal articulation processes for students.

Goals:
1. Implement new Articulation Guidelines for Career Education Programs/Articulation Agreements and University Transfer Programs/Articulation Agreements approved by Curriculum Council, November 2002. Review every three years.
2. Continue to identify and document the change and variation in the requirements for transfer in and among our major transfer institutions.
3. Continue to identify and document the needs of Delta students in preparation for transfer to institutions within the state.
4. Encourage opportunities for collaboration and partnerships with transfer institutions.
5. Review MACRAO agreements to determine current effectiveness.
6. Work with transfer institutions to monitor student success.
7. Participate in definition of student educational goals. (What is transfer?)
8. Participate in redefinition of student success; i.e., one class, a few classes, certificate, degree.
